For one day, a former Green Bay Packer and former Chicago Bear are taking the time out of their lives to promote the game of football in a fun way.

Jordy Nelson and Brian Urlacher, two outstanding players during their respective careers, and fan favorites, are set to join forces to lead military service members in a series of football drills similar to those featured at the NFL Combine.

Service members from Naval Station Great Lakes will compete in events ranging form the quarterback arm challenge to the ever-iconic 40-yard dash.

The event, which is scheduled for Tuesday and is the seventh NFL boot camp hosted by USAA for the 2019 season alone, is a fun way for former players and military members to engage with each other as the league continues to support the armed forces. It's also the first time this type of event will be held in the Chicago area.

It's especially exciting considering the caliber of players who will be hosting the event. Nelson accumulated an impressive 8,578 receiving yards during his 10 seasons in the NFL, and Urlacher carved out a Hall of Fame career for himself at middle linebacker with the Bears.

The two former players will also get a chance to see how they stack up against their newfound military friends. It's sure to be something that will produce plenty of lasting memories for everyone involved.
