If you know Jorge Masvidal, you know that he is a man that is not afraid to speak his mind in the exact moment a thought materializes. From immediately standing over the limp body of Ben Askren and taunting him at UFC 239, to telling the world he wanted to keep fighting Nate Diaz after their bout was stopped by doctors at UFC 244, he truly is one of the few fighters in the mixed martial arts that keeps it real in every sense.

So, when it was reported that American Top Team, the MMA camp that Masvidal and ex-friend Colby Covington both belong to, enacted a "zero tolerance" trash talking policy among members of the team, that rubbed Masvidal the wrong way. "Gamebred" saw that as a form of protection for the brash and controversial Covington, and he immediately took his thoughts on the matter straight to Twitter.

Well, then.

First, Masvidal is an extremely shrewd operator, and he knows how to garner attention for himself. You can be absolutely sure that calling Colby "coby" was deliberate, and an easy way for him to get under Covington's skin.

He is only the latest ATT member to recently vocalize their displeasure with Covington's often outlandish behavior, joining Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Dustin Porier as known teammates who have found the welterweight contender's persona to be unsettling or even appalling.

The team infighting has naturally caught the attention of plenty of fighters around mixed martial arts. More and more each day, Colby Covington seems to be losing allies, and when his next fight is announced, that lack of support in his camp may end up costing him another title shot.
