Jorge Masvidal Slams Kevin Lee With NSFW Tweet After UFC Brasilia Main Event
By Michael Luciano
Kevin Lee had a weekend to forget at UFC Brasilia. On top of fighting Charles Oliveira in an empty arena due to coronavirus concerns and missing weight before the fight, Lee was submitted by Oliveira after he tapped out in the third round.
Lee tried to claim that his tap-out was totally accidental and that he wanted to keep fighting. Trying to stay alive on a technicality didn't sit well with noted UFC antagonist Jorge Masvidal, who used some very NSFW language to call out Lee for missing weight outside of the octagon and disappointing in it.
A native Brazilian, Oliveira dominated Lee, and the former extended his record for submissions in UFC history with 14.
Lee was never in control of the fight, and him trying to say his clear tap wasn't one is incredibly weak. Take the loss on the chin rather than trying to claim the refs aren't fair.
Lee didn't put on the best exhibition of mixed marital arts in that empty Brazilian arena, and Masvidal, never afraid to tell you what he's really thinking, lashed out after what he felt was conduct unbecoming of a UFC fighter.
