Josh Gordon Apparently Had No Clue the Patriots Placed Him on IR Based on Recent Instagram Activity

In a shocking piece of news on Wednesday, the Patriots placed wide receiver Josh Gordon on IR with a knee injury. However, in the aftermath of that transaction, reports surfaced suggesting that Gordon is healthy enough to play, possibly as early as this week.
Well, it seems Gordon was surprised as the rest of us about his IR designation. The wideout replied to an Instagram post from the NFL's account, suggesting he was completely oblivious to the move.

It's certainly odd that the player involved wasn't informed his season is over.
Gordon's injury designation came as a major surprise, and now reports claim that it most likely means his time in New England is coming to a close. He is now expected to be released from the team and hit free agency.

Gordon suffered the injury against the Giants on Oct. 10 and has been sidelined since. And despite his belief that he was nearing a return to the field, the Patriots seem to have thought otherwise and we'll be seeing Gordon catching passes form another QB.
