Josh Gordon Posts Thought-Provoking Instagram Story Amid George Floyd Protests

Josh Gordon is one of the more talented players to wear an NFL uniform over the past decade. The former Cleveland Browns receiver last played with the Seattle Seahawks in 2019 before going on yet another indefinite suspension.

He has dealt with his own personal and legal troubles and it would be easy to label him as a bust or to give up on him. Gordon took to Instagram to share several pictures that reflect his own life and how black men are perceived by some in our society.

Gordon's photos send a strong message as it is far too often the case when black men in American are written off after one bad moment in their life. The receiver has had his own struggles, but has also achieved levels of greatness on the football field.

Gordon is now 29 years old and seeking a return to the NFL. His pictures are quite the statement given what is going on in American surrounding the death of George Floyd and the subsequent protests. Whether these two facts are directly related is unknown, but the timing makes for a curious message.
