Wide receiver Josh Gordon hasn't played a full 16-game season since 2013 with the Cleveland Browns, where he burst onto the scene with an NFL-leading 1,646 receiving yards. We all know what's happened since then; he's faced multiple suspensions from the NFL due to marijuana and hasn't been able to reproduce the kind of season he had in 2013.

He's now in the midst of a suspension and isn't on the active roster. But this latest cryptic message from his Twitter account could suggest otherwise.

At the very least, it's good to see Gordon's in a good spot mentally. Before getting suspended by the NFL, he announced he was going to step away from football to focus on his mental health. If Gordon truly is dedicated to turning his life around, the first step is being mentally prepared.

Gordon has all the physical tools to be an elite receiver in this league, he just needs to stop getting himself into trouble. The New England Patriots seem to think so too, as they signed his restricted free-agent tender earlier this offseason.

While he was on the field last season, he was arguably the Patriots' most dangerous threat at wideout. In 11 games with the Pats, Gordon caught 40 balls for 720 yards and three touchdowns. As far as receivers go, Julian Edelman was the only one on the team with more catches and yards.

With Rob Gronkowski retired and Chris Hogan now on the Carolina Panthers, getting Gordon back would help their offense immensely. They did select wideout N'Keal Harry in the first round of this year's draft, but having a veteran presence like Gordon would further elevate that unit.
