Josh Jacobs Might Miss Raiders Game
By Michael Luciano
The Oakland Raiders have hitched their offensive wagon on rookie running back Josh Jacobs. For the most part, he's been nothing short of outstanding this season, and the Raiders have had an exciting offense even if the team is an average 6-6.
They could be forced to improvise their gameplan today against the Tennessee Titans, though, as Jacobs has been ruled a game-time decision due to a broken shoulder plate.
Jacobs, who was selected in the first round of the 2019 draft out of Alabama, has 1,061 yards rushing and seven touchdowns on 4.9 yards per carry in his first season as a pro.
His combination of power and elusiveness is already proving difficult for NFL defenses to wrangle in. as he has forced a league-leading 61 broken tackles on just 218 attempts.
If Jacobs doesn't play, DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard will get the bulk of the carries.
The Raiders have struggled the last two weeks, and Jacobs is one of handful of players on either side of the ball playing competent football lately. Losing him against a tough Tennessee defense could prove extremely problematic for Oakland.
