Patriots OC Josh McDaniels Interviewing With Three Teams for Head Coaching Job Starting on Monday

Josh McDaniels has a lot more free time this offseason now that the New England Patriots lost in the Wild Card round to the Tennessee Titans.
The offensive guru's name was already linked to several head coach openings this offseason and he is wasting no time to get the interviews underway.

The interviews get started with the Cleveland Browns on Monday before McDaniels meets with the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers.
The 43-year-old is a bit of a polarizing figure due to his rough stint as HC in Denver a decade ago and for bailing on Indianapolis in 2018. Yet that has clearly not swayed teams from wanting to give him another shot.
With the #Patriots loss, the landscape of the coaching search world changes, too. OC Josh McDaniels can now sign with a new team — rather than merely indicate he plans to sign. And expect teams to work to move up his scheduled interviews to earlier this week.

McDaniels can sign a deal as soon as Monday and may have a new job before the week is over. The alternative is staying in New England and causing everyone to wonder if he is just waiting for Bill Belichick to leave and take over that job.
