Josh Reddick Calls Out 'Disrespectful' Yankees Fans for Throwing Garbage and Baseballs During Game 3
By Chris Pyo

Josh Reddick knew what was awaiting him in right field at Yankee Stadium for Game 3 of the ALCS. However, even with low expectations, the Astros standout claims things got way too out of hand when he had a couple of water bottles and pieces of trash thrown at him.
During the game, which the Astros won 4-1, Reddick was at the wrong end of trash being thrown onto the field by overzealous Yankees fans, and he took to the media to complain about the situation.

The Astros star accused Yankee fans of throwing water bottles onto the field, and a few baseballs from section to section, following the umpires' replay review of a bang-bang Edwin Encarnacion play at first in the eighth inning.
"You throw a baseball hard enough and it hits somebody in the head when you’re not looking, it can do some damage to you as a player," Reddick said. "It’s definitely disrespectful and at the same time, unsafe.”
Reddick didn't do himself any favors by calling out the Bleacher Creatures before Game 3 even commenced, which definitely riled them up even more. It's not a smart move to jack up one of the most intense fanbases in the world, especially when you're in spitting distance of them.
Josh Reddick said the RF fans at Yankee Stadium go too far: “There’s no action taken. You look at the security guards — they’re just watching, not saying a thing to anybody. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were the ones helping to say that."https://t.co/UsXpUY8Z0v

He even went on to throw some shade at the Yankee Stadium bleacher security guards prior to the contest, which really doesn't bode well for him.
Ultimately, Reddick and the Astros got the last laugh, as Houston won the game to take a 2-1 series lead in the ALCS, and Reddick himself hit a solo shot off Luis Severino in the second inning.
However, he may really have to watch out for himself in Game 4 if he starts in right field again, as Yankees fans will show him no mercy whatsoever.
