Juju Smith-Schuster Spurns Spotify for Live DJ in Workout
By Evan Wolff
It wouldn't be a gym without the constant presence of music playing either over the speakers, or through the headphones of the people working out, would it? Athletes all throughout the major sports, including the NFL, can attest to the power music can have during a lift, whether as a motivational tool, or just as a way to make things easier.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster, posted one of his workouts on his instagram story recently, and he really took things to the next level, hiring a live DJ in his gym.
This photo, which resurfaced through a Reddit post, is a funny look at how the well-off athletes enjoy their workouts. If you can afford to have a live DJ pace you through your workouts, then why not take advantage of it?! Of course these days, with league facilities closed and social distancing a paramount concern, it will be a while before we see videos like this again.
For now, we'll be happy with tweets like these from Smith-Schuster bragging about his Madden skills. Rest assured, you can assume we'll get more videos of his personal DJ in the gym as soon as the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
