Julian Edelman Posts Star Wars-Themed Tweet After Patriots Win AFC East

Julian Edelman had 72 receiving yards Saturday and helped the New England Patriots do just enough on offense to beat the Buffalo Bills and win another AFC East title.

He must have expected the result because after the game he sent out a Star Wars-themed tweet to join in on all the excitement surrounding the new movie.

"Star Pats" is a bit weird though, right? This tweet was sent out less than an hour after the game ended so Edelman was sitting on this, likely just needing to add in the final score. Or his graphic design guy was sitting at the ready.

The best part of the poster is Tom Brady being smaller than both Edelman and Bill Belichick. The quarterback countering with a "Rise of Brady" post wouldn't be out of character.

The Patriots are not exactly America's most liked team and Edelman putting himself in Star Wars lore will add to the team's reputation as the Evil Empire.
