VIDEO: Justin Verlander Gets Heckled and Bangs Tee Shot off Trash Can at Pebble Beach in Blast of Karma

The Houston Astros and their players aren't going to be able to escape their tarnished reputation anytime soon. Justin Verlander spent his weekend golfing at Pebble Beach, getting his spot blown up by some fans of fairness in MLB who were in attendance.

In an unintentional homage to his team's now-infamous sign-stealing system, Verlander reportedly also beaned a trash can with his tee shot at Pebble Beach.
So @craigcalcaterra , I was at Pebble Beach today, life is hard. The important part is Justin Verlander hit a tee shot. That hit a trash can. Irony is dead. pic.twitter.com/XvddeiEW1d

The jokes really do write themselves.
That simply couldn't have happened to a more fitting person. Verlander, after all, was the one who uncouthly joked that the Astros were "technologically advanced" at the BBWAA dinner.
The fact that he actually managed to hit a trash can is poetic. It's a sign from the baseball gods that he and the Astros need to get their act together. But most of all, it's proof that all things come full circle. Perhaps his dust-up with the receptacle will give him a chance to reflect on his arrogance.
