Justin Verlander hopes to return for Astros this season

There's no denying Houston Astros hurler Justin Verlander misses being away from the bump for his team. Due to Tommy John Surgery, the fear was that Verlander would be out for the entire 2021 season. However, he's hoping that's not the case.
This week, the veteran hurler said that while he doesn't think he'll be able to be a starter this spring/summer, he's eyeing a move to the bullpen.
This would really be something. Despite him being an electric starter, you can't rush Verlander back to toss 6-7 innings a game. But if he can give you 1-2 good ones in relief, why not? This is something Dusty Baker is going to have to think long and hard about, but it'd be great to see.
