Justise Winslow Claps Back at Dwyane Wade After His Reaction to Heat-Grizzlies Trade
By Evan Wolff
For the NBA, the trade deadline is one of the most electric times of the year. Players seem to get dealt by the second as time winds down and the chances of playoff glory can be boosted or diminished over the course of a couple hours.
One particular group that doesn't enjoy this time of year is the players themselves. It seems nearly half of the NBA is always the subject of trade talks, and players can be blindsided by the news that they've been offloaded. Justise Winslow was one of those players, finding himself included in the Andre Iguodola trade between Memphis and Miami.
Dwayne Wade seemed to be a fan of the trade, taking to Twitter to celebrate the Heat's acquisition. Winslow seemed to think Wade was taking a shot at him, however, and he clapped back with a tweet of his own.
Winslow clearly wasn't happy that he was seen as excess to requirement, and had no problem voicing his thoughts and clapping back at a team legend.
Memphis fans should be excited that Winslow feels he has a point to prove and they will welcome him with open arms. He'll try to carve out a solid role for himself when he returns from his back injury.
It looks like Winslow is going to use D-Wade's perceived jab as a form of motivation to impress in his new NBA home.
