The Ohio State Buckeyes basketball team finished 20-15 this past season, finishing things off with an upset win in the first round of the NCAA March Madness Tournament over Iowa State.

The primary leader for the Buckeyes team was sophomore forward Kaleb Wesson, who played a huge role in their win over Iowa State, turning himself into a bonafide NBA prospect throughout the season.

Wesson announced on Tuesday that he will be returning to Ohio State for his junior season next year, after going through proper pre-Draft evaluations.

Wesson was expected to forgo his junior and senior year to entire the 2019 NBA Draft, but after completing pre-Draft workouts with the Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics, he made the decision to return to college and give his team a huge boost for the upcoming season.

With Wesson returning, the Buckeyes see themselves as a big contender in the Big 10 next season. Michigan State will be the class of college basketball next season, but with Michigan losing John Beilein and Wisconsin finishing 2018-19 steady, but not dominant, the Buckeyes have a chance to topple some of those who ranked ahead of them.

Wesson averaged 14.6 points per game last season, along with 6.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists. He also shot 50% from the field, and should only improve his game for his junior year.
