Shooting Outside Kansas City Bar Leaves 2 Dead and 15 Injured After Chiefs Advance to Super Bowl

Two people are reported to have been killed, and 15 more injured, following a shooting outside a Kansas City, Missouri bar after the Chiefs' victory over the Titans on Sunday.
Shortly before midnight, a gunman reportedly opened fire on a group of people waiting to enter 9ine Ultra Lounge, which was celebrating the Chiefs' Super Bowl berth.

The incident left two dead, one of whom is believed to be the shooter, a male, who is reported to have been shot by an armed security guard. Meanwhile, the 15 injured individuals are being treated at nearby hospitals. Three people are reported to be in critical condition.
Police officers have reportedly recovered multiple weapons from the scene, but remain unsure as to whether there was a motive behind the shooting.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas tweeted out in the aftermath of the incident, commending the security guard for preventing what could have been an even greater tragedy. We will update this story with more information as it becomes available.
