Kawhi Leonard May Have Cashed in Free Trip to Barbados to Re-Sign With Toronto
By James.r

Kawhi Leonard has been receiving a ton of pleas and incentives from Toronto Raptors fans in hopes of keeping him in the city come the start of NBA free agency in July. Of those, perhaps the most generous bid came from the Canadian office of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., which offered Kawhi a free trip prior to Game 6 of the NBA Finals if he agreed to a deal with Toronto.
Now, in a case of some very intriguing timing, Kawhi is on a beach vacation with his girlfriend in... that's right, Barbados.

Obviously, it's not excessively unlikely that these two things are related. Kawhi hasn't even had the opportunity to agree to terms with the Raptors yet, and his new contract would pay for an incalculable number of luxurious trips to the islands no matter where he decides to sign.
But still, Kawhi is an enigma. Do we ever really know what's going on in his head?
Free agent Kawhi Leonard is expected to allow the Toronto Raptors to make the final meeting presentation among the teams visiting with him in Los Angeles next week, league sources tell ESPN. The incumbent often prefers to go last in trying to convince a player to stay with team.

Kawhi will meet with the Lakers and Clippers next week before allowing Toronto last licks on convincing him to stay. The trip to Barbados almost surely has no bearing on any of this.
But this is the weirdest superstar in sports, so maybe it does.
