Kawhi Leonard Purchased $6 Million Penthouse Right Next to Staples Center
By Ian Anderson
Kawhi Leonard is living the dream back in his hometown, but things have only gotten better.
Yup, Leonard has splashed $6.725 million on a new penthouse right next to the Staples Center, the arena that the Los Angeles Clippers call home.
Now Kawhi can't make any excuses about being late to work anymore, so there are some negatives about buying a near $7 million house.
All jokes aside, Kawhi seems to be settling in well back home in LA and his performances for the Clippers have backed up the max contract the team handed him this past offseason.
Friday night against Minnesota, Leonard went off. He scored 42 points, while going a perfect 19-of-19 from the free-throw line, as the Clippers held off a late charge from the Timberwolves.
This season, we've seen Kawhi play some of the best ball of his career, with the star forward on pace to set career highs in both rebounds per game and assists per game. Following Friday's victory, Leonard is averaging 25.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists per night.
