Kawhi Leonard Reportedly Had Separate 1-on-1 Lakers Meetings With LeBron, Magic and Jeanie Buss

Kawhi Leonard is being very meticulous in how he approaches his free agency decision.
The superstar free agent and 2018-19 NBA Finals MVP reportedly had individual one-on-one meetings with LeBron James, Magic Johnson and Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, as reports suggest his focus is firmly on the Lakers.
It's an ingenious strategy. Leonard was able to hear the unadulterated opinions about the direction of the franchise from three different perspectives. Each was free to give their own pitch on their vision for the team, without fear of stepping on one another's toes.
It also allows him to look for discrepancies between the three to see whether or not there are any red flags that might be steer him away from signing with the Lakers and towards another team like the Clippers.
James reportedly tried to sell him on the idea that he'd be his heir apparent to the Lakers.
The race for his services has turned into something of a mad dash at this point. With the vast majority of the league's top free agents already signed to new deals, it's all-or-nothing for the teams who have staked their offseason on him.
Kawhi is taking his time, and doesn't want any informational leaks to come out. By meeting one-on-one with the Johnson, James and Buss, Leonard is making sure he gets all of the information he needs before making his career-altering decision.
