Kawhi Leonard really steps up when it matters most. It seems like almost every clutch shot made this postseason was by him, whether it was the Game 7 fadeaway jumper over Joel Embiid that advanced the Raptors to the Western Conference Finals, or the buckets he dropped against the Bucks Sunday night to force OT and eventually a huge Game 3 win.

Words alone don't do justice to the kind of playoff performer Kawhi has been throughout his career. Statistics, however, can paint that picture, and this particular stat proves The Klaw might be the most prolific playoff scorer ever. That's right, he has vaunted himself over legends including LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan in one important playoff category.

Kawhi is having his best playoff performance to date, averaging 32 points per game, a career high. He's also shooting a lethal 40% from three-point range and over 50% from the field.

Leonard made his first postseason appearance as a rookie in 2011-12. Since then he's played in the postseason in every year, with the exception of his injury-riddled 2017-18 campaign. His scoring has improved each and every postseason, ranging from 8.6 points per game as a rookie all the way to the 32.0 PPG figure from this postseason.

Of the multitude of stars to experience several playoff campaigns, Leonard stands out as the player whose scoring has continued to rise year after year, showing that he may not have even unlocked his full potential yet.

Whatever his reputation was before coming to Toronto, it's abundantly clear that he has cemented himself once again as an elite player in today's NBA, and even more importantly, a premier postseason performer, which is an invaluable attribute.
