Keenan Allen Viciously Talks Smack to Chris Harris Jr. After Chargers Loss vs Broncos
By Jerry Trotta
This is news to us, but it appears as though Los Angeles Chargers wideout Keenan Allen is one of those players that talks trash even after getting bottled up by an opposing cornerback.
The All-Pro receiver took to a fan page on Instagram of Denver Broncos DB Chris Harris on Friday, which posted a meme with the caption "Somebody's mad" in reference to Allen's pedestrian performance over the weekend.
Upon becoming aware of the banter, Allen responded in no uncertain terms. "Now, y'all know damn well that boy can't hold my jockstrap... stop it," commented the defiant pass-catcher.
Anybody smell something? Because it REEKS of sore loser syndrome up in here. Harris, a four-time Pro Bowler, held Allen, a two-time Pro Bowler, to just four receptions for 18 yards on the day. Coming into the clash, Allen was leading the NFL in targets and receptions.
That shutdown play determined to be a pivotal factor in the Broncos picking up their first win of 2019, as Rivers was often forced to check down to Austin Ekeler -- 15 times to be exact -- for meaningless yardage.
But, according to Allen, he develops SO much separation against Harris that the Kansas product can't even come close enough to grab his undergarments.
Allen needs to do what his Chargers did in Week 5, and that is take the L. Not only did Harris win the battle on the gridiron, but the star DB is also winning the mind game competition with Los Angeles' receiver.
Let your play do the talking, man.
