Kemba Walker Finally Getting Over LeBron James Hump Must Serve as Launching Point for Celtics

Kemba Walker finally did the impossible Monday night.
His Boston Celtics destroyed the Los Angeles Lakers by the final score of 139-107. This is a big win for the Celtics in general, but it is even larger for Walker because it marks the first time in his career he has beaten LeBron James.

It helps that Walker is now on a great team like the Celtics after being on some less-than-stellar Charlotte squads from 2011-2018. Still, this is a huge personal win for Walker.
This 32-point win may also be a launching point for the Celtics to start moving up the Eastern Conference standings. The team currently sits in the No. 4 overall seed, 9.5 games behind the first-place Milwaukee Bucks.
The Celtics' 32-point win over the Lakers is their largest regular-season win in the series since 1963.

It's their largest win over the Lakers, regular season or postseason, since beating them 131-92 in Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals. pic.twitter.com/qwEbEUoiGt
The Lakers are one of the two best teams in the NBA right now and the Celtics blew them out like they were the New York Knicks. Such a win, in which five players scored at least 16 points, proves the Celtics can beat the best.
The same is true for Walker, who no longer has to assume a defeat when facing James.
