Ken Rosenthal Claims Yankees Could Use Luis Severino in Relief in Game 6
By Karl Rasmussen

While Luis Severino recently revealed his desire to start in Game 7, that may not be the plan for the hard-throwing right-hander after all.
With the Yankees in a do-or-die situation in Houston on Saturday night in Game 6, Ken Rosenthal suggested that Aaron Boone may elect to call upon the 25-year-old in relief.
Gerrit Cole and Luis Severino are being saved for a potential Game 7, but is there a chance we could see either of them tonight?@Ken_Rosenthal reports that Severino could make an appearance in Game 6: pic.twitter.com/ieObnTdFDK

Severino had admitted it's been a dream for him to start a Game 7 for the Yankees since he was a kid, but Boone revealed there's a chance the team summons him from the bullpen in order to help mitigate the Astros' offense, if he's needed.
It's a bullpen game tonight, with Chad Green set to open for the Yankees, so if the team feels Severino gives them the best chance to win, they don't have much of a choice but to deploy him.
Aaron Boone isn’t ready to announce his Game 6 starter. They’ll discuss it on the plane. He does have a Game 7 starter: Luis Severino.

Despite being named the Game 7 starter by Boone, if the situation requires, gameplans have to go out the window. The Yankees won't see a Game 7 if they can't get a win on Saturday, and if Severino is needed in relief to achieve that goal, then so be it.
Nothing is off the table for the Yankees tonight.
