Kendall Fuller Heading Back to Redskins After Being Centerpiece of Alex Smith Trade of Yesteryear

Kendall Fuller spent the first two years of his career with the Washington Redskins before being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs before the 2018 season in exchange for Alex Smith.
Fuller won a Super Bowl this past season with the Chiefs and is now reportedly signing with the Redskins for a second stint.
Can confirm @JasonLaCanfora's report that the #Redskins are bringing Kendall Fuller back to Washington.

They're signing the corner they once traded for Alex Smith. Fuller is 25 and entering his 5th season. First true starter they've lured to DC today.
This has been quite the start of a career for Fuller. He was the centerpiece of a blockbuster trade and was able to win a Super Bowl in his new home. He then hit free agency and gets to return to his original team.
Kendall Fuller was traded in a package for QB Alex Smith back in 2018, he was devastated by it. Has wanted to be back in DC ever since. Both sides wanted this, and it’s happening.

The Redskins essentially ended up losing the initial trade once Smith went down with what was a gruesome injury. Getting Fuller back in free agency helps the situation for Washington as that team was not a competitor the past two years. Fuller got to gain experience on a great team and it certainly helped in his development as a professional.
He is a nice addition to a team with new leadership looking to rise from the basement of the NFC East.
