Kendrick Perkins Changing His Tune on the LeBron James-Michael Jordan Debate Proves He's a Fraud
By Scott Rogust
Death, taxes, the never-ending LeBron James-Michael Jordan debate. These are the three givens in life. The masses will always argue about why they believe Jordan or James is the better player, despite the two playing in different eras and possessing different styles. But if you are to pick a side, you better stay there, because you'll be called out if you flip-flop.
Take former NBA star Kendrick Perkins, for example. Last year, Perkins replied to a fan on Twitter to express his belief that Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. One year later, Perkins sent out a message using obscure stats to say that LeBron is better than Jordan.
Come on, Kendrick.
It's truly amazing Perkins doesn't realize that we live in the age of screenshots. If you tweet out an opinion, someone in this world is going to save the receipt just in case. That individual did so to ensure he can call Perkins out if he switched from Team MJ to Team LBJ.
Did that ever pay off, huh?
But let's get to those stats that Perkins included in his tweet. Why is he comparing LeBron's stats in his last three NBA Finals losses to Jordan's numbers in his last three Finals wins? What does one have to do with the other? Stat lines don't matter. Wins do. We're sure LeBron doesn't care about the numbers he put up in those three championship losses. He's without a doubt miffed that he didn't secure those W's!
Based off his flip-flopping, Perkins' opinions will be forever taken with a grain of salt by basketball fans -- if they weren't already.
