The interesting thing about this universal halt in sports during the coronavirus outbreak is the opportunity to re-watch reruns of big-time games as if they were brand new. For some fans, they are -- many aren't old enough to remember these instant classics because, well, a lot of them weren't even born yet. For this small crowd, it's as if they're watching these games live and for the first time, without any clue as to what the end result is. These young Kentucky fans had the chance to watch the 1992 National Championship against Duke, and their reaction when the buzzer sounded is hilarious.
Christian Laettner will forever be remembered by the last-second shot that shocked the Wildcats, and these two really couldn't believe it. They were unsure if it counted and whether or not UK had won, but eventually, they'd learn their fate and react accordingly.
Apparently, a lot of young Kentucky fans were watching this one when it went back on the air. None of them knew what was coming, and yet more or less they all had the same priceless reaction.
If there's a first game for an aspiring UK basketball fan to watch, it's certainly this one -- if you want to teach your youngsters pain. Otherwise, just go with an Anthony Davis dunk fiesta or something.
