Kevin Durant and Chris Broussard Get Into Public Argument Over How Close They Are
By Zack Jiang

Chris Broussard is an NBA insider with many sources, but he has been known to make exaggerated claims from time to time to generate hot takes. One of his recent takes was focused on Kevin Durant; he called the Warriors' success without Durant in this postseason Durant's worst nightmare. KD didn't take that too well, and ended up calling him out on Twitter.
After the initial call-out, however, Broussard went on FS1's Undisputed to redeem himself and defend his own honor. He went on to downplay Durant's call-out by stating that the two have a "love-hate relationship," and that they have texted for hours before on different subjects, such as basketball and faith.
However, Durant once again went on Twitter to refute the claim, stating that Broussard does't even have his number.
Cap. Cap. Cap cap cap....u don’t have my number mannnnn https://t.co/uJhQjR74Zr

Naturally, Broussard has since responded and is standing by his words.
IG DM, Twitter DM, text - it’s all the same thing nowadays, dude. Don’t act like I’m lying. https://t.co/qynAittN8V

If these two really had an established relationship before, it's probably over now. Although Broussard is simply following media narratives with his take, he should have known that it would have made Durant mad. The Warriors superstar has shown frustrations with the media throughout his career over speculation on his feelings and decisions.
I see a little exaggeration there buddy, my worst nightmare?? U sure that this is the worst that it can get???

Broussard could very well be telling the truth on his relationship with Durant, and he made the calculated decision to fuel the fire with his take by unleashing an opinion sourced exclusively from his own noggin. We'll just have to wait to see if Durant makes another response.
