Kevin Durant sure is bored sitting at home watching the Brooklyn Nets struggle without him, and decided to feed his ego on social media. That started on Wednesday, by getting into a Twitter war with NBA fans over the relevancy of the Nets.

But things got much more petty on Thursday night.

Russell Westbrook made his return to Oklahoma City after his trade to the Houston Rockets. The Thunder made a touching tribute video to commemorate all that he accomplished with the organization.

Enter KD to ruin the whole thing by getting into a Twitter beef with Kendrick Perkins and making it all about himself.

Perkins brought up a valid point after Durant attacked him for saying Westbrook was the best player in Thunder history. After the Thunder's heartbreaking Western Conference Finals loss in 2016 after blowing a 3-1 series lead, Durant up and left for the team that beat them in the Golden State Warriors!

Yes, Durant did get two NBA Championship rings in his three years in the Bay Area, but he hurt his reputation in the process. Getting up and running to the powerhouse team that eliminated you is going to be universally viewed as weak by colleagues and fans.

And he created beef with Westbrook on his way out by refusing to speak to him after lying about staying with the Thunder that offseason.

Westbrook stayed put in Oklahoma City through thick and thin, carrying the team to the NBA Playoffs on a yearly basis. Sure, he didn't take them to the NBA Finals, but he did everything in his power to do so, which is admirable and deserving of a tribute.

Durant, on the other hand, can't stand being out the NBA spotlight due to his Achilles injury, and decide to go on an unnecessary rant on Twitter just to make himself feel important.

You chose to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder, Kevin. Accept that and move on already.
