Kevin Durant May Have Played His Last Game as a Warrior
By Seth Carlson

Think of Warriors small forward Kevin Durant as being in court, with the judge deciding whether or not he's 'guilty or not guilty' of extending his legacy as one of the greatest basketball players ever while with Golden State.
In truth, this year's NBA Finals could help make or break KD's Bay Area run and potentially his career reputation.
man, golden state going down 3-1 then KD returning and them winning the finals and ruining 3-1 jokes forever would be the most warriors thing that could possibly happen, isn’t it

It's clear the Warriors have struggled to piece it together without KD, even if the record shows that Golden State has been better without the superstar. Durant is a transformational player, a near seven-footer with incredible shooting abilities and the capability of taking over a series, let alone just individual games.
This observation is only made more true by fellow transformational player and 3-point stud Steph Curry's inability to lead Golden State back to a title (it's looking that way).
Warriors 8-1 in the finals with Kevin Durant. Under .500 in the 17 Finals games without Kevin Durant. Its a shocking revelation, I know, but guys like MJ, Bird, KD, Lebron, Magic, Kawhi, Kobe, have a significant impact in the outcomes of NBA Finals.

This is no knock on Curry, as he is a great player and beloved by the fans. However, there's something uniquely special about Durant that causes "frustration all around" when he is unable to play.
KD's injury, combined with the rumors that he is headed east to New York and the Warriors' dynasty potentially hinges on his strained calf, have made this whole Finals a volatile situation in Golden State.
Yo! @KDTrey5, it’s your turn now! You are the @Warriors last chance. pic.twitter.com/QS8kyiri8s

Durant has been looked at negatively for deciding to join a dynasty already in the making before his arrival.
Now approaching free agency and a second lease on NBA life, Durant has a chance to prove to us all that joining the Warriors was out of his best intentions and not as a shortcut to improve his legacy. For now, though, it sure looks like he's played his last game for the Bay-Area franchise.
