Kevin Durant Officially Out for Remainder of Game 5 With Lower Leg Injury
By Michael Luciano

Halfway through the second quarter of Game of the 2019 NBA Finals, Kevin Durant was up to his usual tricks, scoring 11 points and leading the Warriors to a decent lead over Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors. Just as Golden State was starting to get in a rhythm, however, Durant crumbled to the floor, grasping the right leg that had kept him on the sidelines for a month.
At first, the Warriors were silent regarding Durant's injury, claiming that they were letting him express his "raw emotions" and wanted to keep the rest of the noise out.
Doris also reported KD’s agent and Warriors GM was in there with him. Hard to imagine anything other than the worst scenario. https://t.co/7Y4POp0dUj

At the start of the third quarter, unfortunately, Durant was ruled out for the rest of Game 5.

This could be anything from a cramp to a reaggravation of his prior injury to a serious Achilles injury. The extent is simply unclear at this point. The ambiguity surrounding this is leading some to speculate the worst, but for now, the Warriors will have to find a way to make do without him.
Looking at Durant video after he went down. He very clearly is holding his Achilles, not his calf. #warriors have been saying calf injury since KD initially got hurt pic.twitter.com/tQt2IqmgvE

For Durant's sake, and the sake of basketball as a whole, let's just hope that it's nothing too serious. The NBA isn't the same without the Slim Reaper doing his thing.
