Kevin Durant Reportedly Expected to Miss Warriors' Next 4 Games

Since the end of the Western Conference semifinals, the Warriors have been hoping for the return of All-Star Kevin Durant, who left during the third quarter of Game 5 against the Houston Rockets with a lower leg injury that was later diagnosed as a strained calf.
The organization has been hopeful for a quick return, but recent reports show that Durant will be out for a while longer. After tonight's Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the Trail Blazers, it's expected that he'll be out for at least another three games.

Durant being out for the next three games may not hurt the Warriors right now with the load being carried by Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. However, once the NBA Finals (if the Warriors make it) roll around and defensive challenges face Golden State in the form of Toronto or Milwaukee, Durant's absence could become a much bigger issue.

The Warriors did win a championship prior to Durant's arrival, but in this year's playoffs he has been carrying a heavy load, averaging 35.4 points per game and picking up the slack when Steph has been wildly inconsistent and ineffective.
If Steph happens to hit another dry spell like he was in the middle of before Durant's injury, the Warriors could be in significant trouble against a more fierce defensive opponent.
