Kevin Durant Will Reportedly Travel With Warriors to Toronto for NBA Finals
By Will Fowler
The Golden State Warriors have been rolling through the NBA postseason despite being without superstar Kevin Durant since Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals.
That won't stop the All-Star forward from making the trip to Toronto for Games 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals, though, as Yahoo! Sports is reporting that Durant will be on the plane when the team heads north.
Durant suffered a strained right calf, leaving Golden State without arguably best player on the planet as they completed their series against the Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers.
At this point, the Warriors are handling the injury to Durant day by day, but one thing's for certain; he will not be playing in Game 1 when it tips off on Thursday.
Though his status for Game 1 is definite, we don't know what the deal is beyond that. And with Durant potentially leaving the Bay in free agency, I'm sure he wants to step onto the floor for the Finals and help the Warriors win a championship at least one more time.
