Kevin Gausman Takes Loss Despite Solid Triple-A Rehab Appearance
By Karl Rasmussen

Kevin Gausman is working his way back to the big league club, and he's trying to stick around in the Braves' rotation despite the addition of Dallas Keuchel.
He appeared for the Gwinnett Stripers on Tuesday and lasted 7 innings, surrendering 3 runs on 6 hits with 10 strikeouts.

The strikeouts are certainly encouraging, and only two of the runs were credited to Gausman. He walked just one batter in the outing, a strong showing in what could be his final appearance before returning to the Braves.
The 28 year old struggled in the big leagues this year, recording a 6.21 ERA and going 2-5 with a 1.50 WHIP and 64 strikeouts.
RHP Kevin Gausman’s rehab assignment has been transferred to Triple-A Gwinnett and he will start tonight’s game for @GoStripers.

Gausman is in his second season in Atlanta, having joined the team from Baltimore at the trade deadline last year.
The veteran hurler is looking to fight for a spot in the Braves' rotation, but with emerging young arms eager to get their opportunity in the bigs, it won't be a cake walk for the former Oriole.
Tuesday's outing is a great indicator that he's still able to sit down opposing hitters and keep runners off the base paths.
