Kevin Love Makes Generous Donation to Cavaliers Staff Amid NBA Suspension
By Dylan McCaffrey
Following the announcement that the NBA is suspending all basketball operations for at least 30 days, a lot of people were left without a job. Arena workers, training staffs, maintenance employees and more will all be without a source of income for an undetermined amount of time.
Cleveland Cavaliers star Kevin Love is doing his part to make sure these workers don't struggle through that time. The outspoken Cavs forward donated $100,000 to the organization's arena and support staff in a truly touching gesture.
Despite the onslaught of negative events which have kicked off 2020, Love's generosity can serve as a bit of a bright spot, and a reminder that there's still some good out there.
Similarly, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban announced his plan to make sure his workers retain their much needed wages, so hopefully other owners will follow in his footsteps.
With the rapid spread of the extremely contagious COVID-19, better known as coronavirus, the sports world has completely halted its yearly revolution. The suspension of the NBA, postponement of the MLB season and the cancelation of both the men's and women's NCAA Basketball Tournament's have impacted many, but Love's response has helped mitigate the consequences on those connected to the Cavs.
