He showcased his talents Friday night when he nearly threw down a poster-worthy dunk over Kevin Love. Love, a star in his own right, understood the moment and had a lighthearted response about the situation.

Morant went straight at the 6-10 Love and nearly jumped all the way over him. Some contact at the end of the play caused Morant to miss what could have been a legendary dunk, and fans on Twitter still applauded the 20-year-old for his efforts.

Love made the smart basketball play by trying to draw a charge. The problem is that he underestimated Morant's leaping ability and almost had his career ended in the process. To be fair, no one would have guessed Morant would elevate quite like that.
