Kevin Love Has High Praise for Collin Sexton After 40-Point Effort Against Celtics
Kevin Love has had an up and down season for the cellar-dwelling Cleveland Cavaliers. He has played exceptionally well, but has notably had outbursts at team management as well about the young players on the roster. Finally, it looks like all the noise has been put behind him, as Love gave his second-year teammate Collin Sexton a huge shoutout on Twitter after an incredible effort.
Following his 41-point and six-assist night in the Cavs' loss to the Boston Celtics, Love responded to teammate Larry Nance Jr.'s praise of Sexton with some of his own, calling Sexton "a walking bucket" in the aftermath.
This is high praise from Love, as he has been an incredible scorer in the NBA for the past 10 seasons or so, averaging 26 PPG during his peak years with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Love seems to be right in his assessment of Sexton, as he has not only been scoring more this season, but he has also become more efficient. His shot attempts are smarter, and his percentages have increased as well.
While Kevin Love is not one to shy away from negativity, good for him for complimenting his younger teammates on their improvement. That is what being a leader is all about.
