Kevin Love's Girlfriend Kate Bock Sent to Hospital With Head Injury After Couples Rafting Accident

Kevin Love and his model girlfriend Kate Bock were given quite a scare during their rafting trip.

The two fell overboard during their little romantic excursion, and Bock hit her head in the process. She ultimately need to be sent to the hospital, where she received staples to close the nasty-looking wound (just check out the aftermath).

Everything seemed to turn out okay, though. Bock posted an update on her Instagram and could be seen in multiple pictures waving her blood-stained hat around with a smile on her face. Although it's unfortunate that she even sustained the injury to begin with, it's reassuring to know that she's in good spirits.

Watching the woman he's been with for quite some time sustain the first head injury that the rafting company they used has seen in 34 years probably wasn't what Love had in mind for offseason relaxation. But such is life.

Love, who's heading into his 12th NBA season and his sixth with the Cleveland Cavaliers, also seemed to be relieved. His Instagram caption was a bit more measured and served as a cautionary tale to those considering rafting, though, saying, "Not enough weight and the rapids will toss you."

Hopefully next time he and Bock go rafting, they'll be sure to stay just a bit safer.
