Kevin Pillar Offers Free Tickets to Young Phillies Fan Who Gave up Foul Ball
By Sean Facey
Kevin Pillar might be known for his amazing acts on the field, but that's not stopping him from being equally incredible off the diamond.
The San Francisco Giants outfielder generously offered up free tickets to the young Phillies fan who went viral after he gave up a foul ball that he grabbed to another young fan at Wednesday's game between Philadelphia and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
There are few ways to better promote kindness and generosity than rewarding good deeds like this one. The young fan and the friend he made now have the chance to attend a game for free!
He was already rewarded for his kindness by the Phillies' broadcast team, who ended up giving him another ball midway through the game. It just goes to show you that moments of kindness like this don't often go unnoticed.
And it's moments like these that make the game of baseball so easy to love. From the kindness showed from one fan to another to the wholesome offer made by Pillar, there's nothing not to like. It's interaction between the fans and the players at its finest.
Pillar and the Giants will pay the Phillies a three-game visit starting on July 30. It would truly be great to see him show up. Who knows, maybe he'll end up giving still another ball away if he gets the opportunity.
