Kevon Looney Out for Remainder of Game 2 With Sprained Collarbone
By Brendan Azoff
One of the unsung heroes of the Warriors run to yet another NBA Finals has gone down with an injury and will not return for the remainder of Game 2. Kevon Looney hurt his collarbone against the Raptors, adding to the growing list of Warrior ailments this postseason.
Fortunately for Golden State, the blow that Looney's loss would have given them has been softened by the return of All-Star Demarcus Cousins.
If the Warriors are without Looney for any period of time, expect Andrew Bogut to fill his role in the rotation. He may not be as effective as the young and upstart Looney, but the wily veteran is a solid replacement for the defending champions.
The Warriors are in the midst of their most impressive run, not in terms of domination but in terms of depth and fortitude. Now with Looney hurt, that fortitude will be tested even further.
