Khalil Mack Praises Eddy Piñeiro for Gutsy Kick in Funny NSFW Postgame Quote
By Scott Rogust

The Chicago Bears looked to be on the verge of an unprecedented 0-2 start to their season. Down 14-13 to the Denver Broncos, the Bears worked their way down field on the final drive of the game and into field goal range. With one second on the clock, Windy City star Eddy Piñeiro nailed a 53-yard field goal to give Chicago the 16-14 victory.
Bears linebacker Khalil Mack welcomes the breath of fresh air that Piñeiro brings, considering the kicking turmoil they've endured throughout the 2019 calendar year. After the game, Mack provided a hilarious, but NSFW reaction to Piñeiro's game-winning kick.
“You think about everything that happened. All the games last year that were kind of like close. Especially that playoff game & you put that pressure on that guy. Eddie P. The birthday man. He came out & nailed that mother F*cker. F*ck. That’s how you play ball man"- Khalil Mack

The Bears have been haunted by kicking ever since the infamous double-doink by Cody Parkey against the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Wild Card Round. Throughout the offseason, head coach Matt Nagy held kicking tryouts and received less than desirable results.
After all the dust settled, it was Piñeiro who stood tall, and through two games in the 2019 season, he's a perfect 4-for-4, with his longest kick coming on his game-winner in Denver.

Piñeiro is becoming a folk hero in the Windy City, as Chicago Bears fans are already clamoring for a statue outside of Soldier Field.
