Kirk Cousins Finally Weighs in on Stefon Diggs Trade and Wideout's Displeasure With Vikings
By Thomas Carannante

The Minnesota Vikings have largely been in turmoil this offseason. Out of everything, though, the Stefon Diggs trade with the Buffalo Bills has been the top headline coming out of Minneapolis so far in 2020.
We already heard what running back Dalvin Cook had to say about the deal, and now it's Kirk Cousins' turn. The Vikings quarterback weighed in while speaking with reporters on Tuesday.
Kirk Cousins talked about the Stefon Diggs trade. Said it was evident he wanted to be elsewhere and spoke of the #Vikings accommodating him by trading him.

It was surely no secret Diggs wanted out of Minnesota, according to Cousins.
Kirk Cousins on Stefon Diggs trade: "It became apparent that he wanted to play elsewhere.'' Said he was "electric" and his skills "don't grow on trees.''

However, it doesn't seem like it affected the relationship between the quarterback and wide receiver. Though we could've assumed a lot of Diggs' frustration stemmed from not getting the ball enough, Cousins had nothing but positive words for his former teammate upon his departure.
Kirk Cousins on the text message he sent Stefon Diggs after he was traded: "I think my text message to him said something along the lines of you're the best receiver I've ever played with... He's elite.''

Not only that, but apparently the Vikings were keen on putting Diggs in a favorable scenario, and we can't argue with his new team, the Buffalo Bills, being an ideal fit. They have one of the best rosters in the NFL and possess up-and-coming talent all over the place.
Kirk Cousins on Stefon Diggs trade: "We tried to find the best win-win that we could and it was impressive of the Vikings to find a situation that could work with both sides.''

When you really think about it, who can be unhappy here? Cousins got an extension with Minnesota, and Diggs is now the undisputed No. 1 wide receiver on a playoff contender in a weakened AFC East. The Vikings rid themselves of a situation that was nothing but a headache.
Full Kirk Cousins on Stefon Diggs deal: “It’s a unique dynamic. It became apparent that he wanted to play elsewhere & I think it was smart of the Vikings to grant him that opportunity. I think it wasn’t a mystery and that’s OK, and I wish him really well .. He’s a special player"

This is the Michael Scott "win-win-win" scenario, people.
