He tore his ACL in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, briefly playing through the injury by sinking two free throws.
He's expected to follow the standard recovery of about 5-7 months and is expected to make a full recovery, though there's still no timetable for his return to action.

Thompson has been a vital member of the Warriors' dynasty from the very beginning since he was drafted by them as the 11th overall pick in 2011.
Since the team first went on its championship run back in the 2014-15 season, he's averaged 21.6 points per game on 47.1% shooting.
He's also been one of the team's better defenders, totaling 12.7 defensive win shares in that same span. Thompson was even named to the NBA All-Defensive second team last year.
In the meantime, expect D'Angelo Russell to take over Klay's minutes.
