The Knicks Actually Won a Game But Their Social Media Team Shared a Graphic Showing They Lost
By Sean Facey
Wins have been hard to come by for the New York Knicks this year. In 60 games, they've managed to come out on top just 18 times, good for a meager .300 win rate. On Saturday, though, they managed to pull out a victory against the Chicago Bulls. Cause for celebration, right?
Wrong! The Knicks' social media team, accustomed to losing on a consistent basis, managed to post a graphic suggesting that the team had lost despite their real-life 125-115 triumph over the Bulls.
It's a shame, really, The mistake graphic is evidence of how pitiful this team is -- it clearlys seeps all the way into the subconscious. When the Knickerbockers win, it's almost as though something went wrong, like there was a glitch in the system.
Even when things go right, they somehow find a way to mess things up. That has been the story for them for the past few years. Need more evidence? Look no further than last year's draft and free agency.
They finished with the worst record in the NBA in 2019-20 and seemed destined to draft Zion Williamson and sign superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to turn the franchise around. Instead, they got RJ Barrett with the third pick in the draft and Marcus Morris in free agency.
Morris plays for the Clippers now.
Nothing can ever go right for the Knicks. Not even a simple 10-point win over their fellow cellar-dwellers.
