The Knicks are in turmoil, with Steve Mills out of a job and James Dolan actively pursuing Raptors president Masai Ujiri. In the meantime, though, the NBA Trade Deadline is just days away.

The Knicks haven't performed up to par on the court this season, but they still have a few assets worth dumping for young talent and/or draft picks, including Marcus Morris. In talks with the Lakers for various veteran talents currently on the roster, New York has shown an interest in young guard Kyle Kuzma, who has reportedly fallen out of favor in Los Angeles.

Dare I say this could actually be a productive move from the Knicks front office?

Some of the concern in Madison Square Garden regards the team's lack of direction. On one hand, they have several young players to build around in RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson. On the other, they're still chasing stars, showing interest in Warriors guard D'Angelo Russell after they passed up on making an RFA offer for his services last summer. It's painful for fans and pundits alike.

Kuzma is averaging 13 points per game, but has yet to develop into the true third wheel to LeBron James and Anthony Davis the Lakers once saw him as. In New York, he'd receive a greater opportunity on a team in need of scoring.
