Knicks Reportedly Planning to Make a Run at Masai Ujiri to Help Land Giannis Antetokounmpo
To absolutely nobody's shock, the New York Knicks are terrible this season. Some things just don't change for 20 years.
It seems like an unbreakable cycle at this point. The team has gone through countless players, coaches, and front office personnel, yet nothing has worked. The only constant during this mess has been James Dolan owning the team, and the fans really want to see him go.
But what if there was one move to improve the franchise without Dolan selling?
Reports have emerged that the team is apparently making a run at Raptors president Masai Ujiri.
Ujiri has had success everywhere he's gone. He turned the Denver Nuggets around and was named Executive of the Year for his efforts with them in 2013. He then went to Toronto, made them into a playoff team, then risked it all in a trade for Kawhi Leonard that ultimately led to their first championship.
With the potential to lure in Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2021 by hiring Ujiri, Knicks fans have to pray this isn't just a rumor.
