Clippers Acquire Marcus Morris and Isaiah Thomas in 3-Team Trade With Knicks and Wizards

One way or another, Marcus Morris was going to end up playing at Staples Center. All that remained unclear was what uniform he'd be wearing upon his arrival in LA.
Well, according to Shams Charania, the Knicks started the proceedings by dealing Morris to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Moe Harkless and a series of other assets, expected to include a first-round pick.
The Lakers were one of the teams at the forefront of Morris' market, but a deal fell through when Rob Pelinka and Co. refused to send Kyle Kuzma to New York.
The Clippers were able to capitalize on that miss and even managed to get a bit more than initially reported. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the deal is actually a three-team swap, as the Wizards got involved.
Isaiah Thomas will be heading to LA in exchange for Jerome Robinson, who will be sent to the nation's capital.
In all, the deal will see the Clippers acquire Morris and Thomas, the Knicks receiving Harkless and a 2020 first-rounder, and the Wizards adding Robinson.
On the season, Morris is averaging a career-high 19.6 points, alongside 5.4 rebounds and is shooting at a 43.9% clip from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, Thomas is putting up a respectable 12.7 points per game while averaging 23.1 minutes per contest.
As for Harkless, the 26-year-old forward from Queens is averaging 5.5 points and 3.1 rebounds across 22.8 minutes per game but is considered likely to be bought out of his deal.
