Kris Bryant and Wife Jessica Share First Photos of New Baby Kyler Lee

The baseball world is sitting at a standstill, and the MLB's many stars are stuck at home until further notice just like the rest of us. Plenty of players are taking the opportunity to spend time with their families and better halves, and in the case of Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant, family time just got a whole lot better.

On Saturday, Bryant shared the first photos of newborn son, Kyler Lee Bryant, who was born this past Tuesday, April. 7.

Great news for Kris and Jessica Bryant during these strange, difficult times.

The couple announced they were expecting their first child back in November. During Cubs Spring Training, Bryant couldn't hold back his excitement, saying he was put on this earth to be a father. In fact, Bryant had even worn a baby blue glove during the preseason in honor of his soon-to-arrive son.

Baseball will no doubt be ingrained in Kyler Lee Bryant's life. Just before his birth, Kris and Jessica were seen taking swings in the batting cage; if that's not a hint, we don't know what is.

With the regular season on pause until further notice, the Bryants will fortunately get to spend plenty of quality time with his first child. That's a pretty amazing consolation prize if there ever was one.
