Kris Bryant Spotted Working Out With Phillies Top Prospect
By Brendan Balsamo
Rumors have been circulating since the beginning of the offseason about the possibility of Chicago Cubs' star third baseman Kris Bryant wearing another uniform this Spring. Anything that could possibly hint towards a deal being struck between the Cubs and a possible suitor for Bryant will for sure set baseball fans off.
After a picture of the Las Vegas native Bryant with Philadelphia Phillies' 2019 first round pick out of UNLV Bryson Stott went viral thanks to Stott's Instagram, the internet is now in a frenzy trying to figure out if this is something that could hint at where Bryant might land.
This could mean absolutely nothing, as we've seen Bryant and fellow Las Vegas native Bryce Harper make social media appearances just based on location, and nothing came of it.
As of now, the only option the Phillies have at third base is Scott Kingery. After his All-Star campaign for the lackluster 2019 Cubs, the on-the-rise Phillies could use a bat like Bryant's to round out their already killer lineup.
It is for sure not an absurd idea to think that Bryant may be dealt to Philly. This picture may add some validity to the idea. It needs to happen sooner rather than later, though, as Spring Training 2020 is right around the corner.
