Kristaps Porzingis Looked Sad as Hell After Losing to Knicks
By Ian Anderson
A revenge game against New York didn't quite go as planned for Kristaps Porzingis.
The Dallas Mavericks came into their game vs. the New York Knicks with high expectations, only to be let down in the final minutes despite an impressive run in the fourth quarter.
The look of disappointment on Porzingis' face is quite obvious after fouling out in a game in which he played well. The 7-3 big man had 28 points and nine rebounds in a loss to a team dubbed the joke of the NBA.
Porzingis has had a solid start to the season in the midst of recovering from a brutal torn ACL injury last season. Averaging 19.0 points-per-game along with a career high 8.1 rebounds-per-game bodes well for a young Dallas Mavericks franchise led by young superstar Luka Doncic.
While Friday night may have been a disappointing loss for Mavericks fans, the high-quality performances from their two franchise cornerstones bodes well for the future.
Porzingis and the Mavericks travel to Boston to take on Kemba Walker and the Celtics this coming Monday.
