When a team makes it to the NBA Finals, chances are they've spent an incredible amount of time together, perhaps to the point of absurdity. After all, the playoffs can add up to an extra quarter of a season's worth of games on top of the usual 82 matchups per year.

It shouldn't come as any surprise, then, that Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry has gotten to know center Marc Gasol fairly well since his midseason trade to Toronto from Memphis.

Perhaps this isn't insider information about the Raptors in the classical sense, but it certainly gives the fans and the media some comic relief in the midst of what is expected to be an intense and competitive NBA Finals. The Raptors won Game 1 on Thursday night and Game 2 is slated for Sunday evening in the Six before the series shifts to Oracle Arena in Oakland.

Lowry and Gasol go all the way back to their days as Grizzlies teammates in 2008, so the two are clearly comfortable with one another. And if the wins keep coming for the Raptors, maybe we'll hear more from Lowry about Marc Gasol's personal life.
